Last month, Realme got separated from its parent brand Oppo to create a name for itself in the competitive smartphone market. Realme 1 smartphone was well received by both the consumers and the critics and now the company is all set to launch the Realme 2. Realme has launched a teaser on its official website with the title “A Notch Above”.
While Realme has not mentioned Realme 2 branding anywhere, the smartphone is rumoured to be branded as the Realme 2. In the teaser image, we can clearly see a dual-rear camera setup which was not present on the Realme 1. Another much-requested feature, the fingerprint scanner is also there along with a medium sized display notch.
Realme also says that the new smartphone will come with the same diamond cut design along with a new blue colour variant. Oppo Realme 1 is powered by a 2Ghz MediaTek Helio P60 processor coupled with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB and 128GB of internal storage variants.
Realme 1 comes with a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The front-facing camera comes with facial recognition for the popular face-unlock feature and there is also OPPO’s AI beauty 2.0 feature available. Let’s see how well Realme will price the Realme 2 and will it give a tough competition to the smartphones like Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and Asus ZenFone Pro M1.
