Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus is all set to launch the next T variant of its popular OnePlus 6 smartphone called the OnePlus 6T. There have been many leaks and rumours about OnePlus 6T but the latest one is an official confirmation by OnePlus. OnePlys has confirmed that the 6T will come with an in-screen fingerprint scanner.

OnePlus confirmed this to CNET saying ” “We unlock our phones multiple times a day, and Screen Unlock reduces the number of steps to complete the action. By adding this feature as an addition to other display unlocking options such as Face Unlock, users will have options to unlock the display in a way that is most efficient for them.”

We have seen OnePlus reveal important features of its upcoming flagship killer before the launch as a teaser. This also means that the launch of the OnePlus 6T is near. The smartphone is expected to be launched in the second half of October 2018. We already have Apple releasing the new iPhones this week, Google launching Pixel 3 on 9th October and now another great smartphone at a much cheaper price.

Though it will be definitely cheaper than the Pixel 3 and the iPhone XS, OnePlus 6T is expected to cost more than the OnePlus 6. The smartphone is expected to be priced at Rs. 39,500/$550. This is due to this in-display fingerprint scanner technology as well as the new waterdrop display notch which is a tiny notch at the top.
