Xiaomi is all set to launch the latest generation of smartphones in its Redmi smartphone lineup in India. Xiaomi has already started sending out media invites for an event on 5th September in New Delhi India and the teaser clearly points towards the launch of the Redmi 6, Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 Pro smartphones in India.
Now in the latest teaser, Xiaomi has confirmed that the new smartphones will come with Dual 4G VoLTE support. This a very important for Indian consumers as many people have more than 1 SIM card. This was not present on the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5A and Xiaomi have finally addressed the issue.
Xiaomi has already launched all the three smartphones in China. The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro is priced at CNY 999 around ₹10,400 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage variant and CNY 1,199 around ₹12,500 for the 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage variant. The top end 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage variant is priced at CNY 1,299 around ₹13,600.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 is priced at CNY 799 around ₹8,499 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage variant. The 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage variant is priced at CNY 999 around ₹10,499. Xiaomi Redmi 6A is priced at CNY 599 around ₹6,399. We expect a similar pricing in India and expect Xiaomi to bring all the smartphones under Rs. 10,000 segment.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro is powered by a 2Ghz Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. It comes with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage expandable via microSD up to 256GB. It comes with a dedicated SD card slot and houses a 4,000mAh battery. The Redmi smartphone sports a 5.84-inch full-HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio display with a display notch at top and bezel all around.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 is powered by a 2Ghz MediaTek Helio P22 processor coupled with 3GB/4GB RAM. It will be interesting to see what Snapdragon processor Xiaomi will use for the Indian variant. It comes with 32GB/64GB of internal storage expandable via MicroSD.
