Huawei sub-brand Honor has finally launched the successor to its popular budget smartphone called the Honor 8X globally. The Honor 8X will launch in India on 16th October and will face tough competition from smartphones like Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, Realme 2 Pro, Motorola One Power and more.
The Honor smartphone was launched last month in China at a price of CNY 1,399 around Rs. 14,900 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage variant. The 6GB RAM variant with 64GB of internal storage is priced at CNY 1,599 around Rs. 17,000 and lastly the 128GB of internal storage variant at CNY 1,899 around Rs. 20,300.
The Honor 8X will be available in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia starting 9th October, Moscow and Russia starting 10th October, Prague, the Czech Republic on 11th October. The smartphone will be available in Bangkok starting 24th October and around the same time in India after the 16th October launch.
Honor 8X Specifications
Honor 8X is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 710F processor coupled with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. The Honor 7X successor sports a 6.5-inch full HD+ TFT 19:5:9 aspect ratio display. It comes with a medium sized display notch at the top which houses the front-facing camera, sensors and earpiece.
The Honor 8X sports a dual-rear camera setup with a 20-megapixel primary sensor and 2-megapixel secondary depth collecting sensor. This comes coupled with a f/1.8 aperture and LED flash. The front-facing camera is of 16-megapixel and comes with a f/2.0 aperture. It comes with the popular AI features along with the AI Face Unlock.
The dual-SIM smartphone houses a 3,750mAh battery and uses a micro-USB port for charging. Huawei Honor 8X runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with EMUI 8.2 UI on top.
